Foothill Christian Preschool has a rich history dating back to 1976. From the very beginning, our mission has been to convey the love of Christ to the youngest of students and begin setting the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Foothill has won numerous awards over the years and is a well-known private school in our community.

Frog Street Curriculum

At FCP, we use the Frog Street curriculum, a nationally recognized, research-based program that blends the joy of play with purposeful learning through hands-on activities, music, movement, and exploration. Every lesson is thoughtfully crafted to support social-emotional growth, language development, early math and literacy skills, and creative expression, all while nurturing a love for learning. The result? Confident, curious learners who are excited and ready for kindergarten!

Exploration

Curiosity Leads the Way

Each day, children engage in themed, hands-on activity centers that spark imagination and invite discovery. Whether they’re building, creating, experimenting, or role-playing, these interactive stations give students the freedom to ask questions, try new ideas, and learn through experience. We even have a dedicated staff person whose main responsibility is planning and preparing these outdoor exploration centers. Both in and out of the classroom, children are given the opportunity to deepen friendships, develop motor skills, and explore the wonder of the world around them.

Spiritually & Academically

We believe preschool is the perfect time to plant seeds for a lifetime of learning. Academically, children grow through engaging lessons that build early literacy, math, problem-solving, and creative expression. Spiritually, they are introduced to God’s love and truth through Bible stories, songs, prayer, and weekly chapel where they are reminded that they are wonderfully made in His image. Our loving teachers nurture each child’s unique gifts, helping them grow in confidence, kindness, and curiosity.

Faith

Woven into the Fabric of FCP

Faith is woven into every part of the day, shaping not only what we teach but how we teach. Bible stories, songs, weekly chapel, and prayer are paired with hands-on learning and play, helping children see God’s truth and love in every experience. Our goal is for each student to know that they are deeply loved by God and that He wants a lasting relationship with them; this foundation of faith will guide them for the rest of their lives.
